FAQ'S

How much can you do?

Log Splitter Hire & Services are efficient & hard working. The amount of logs we split can depend on how the site is prepared for our visit meaning where the timber is in relation to the work area ( hidden/buried/multiple places) also the type of wood (hardwood/softwood - seasoned/freshly cut), size of the rounds (big or small), or if chainsaw/cross-cutting work is needed prior to splitting. We work hard so pride ourselves in what we can achieve in a splitting session when we attend a prepared site.

Will you need power?

Log Splitter Hire & Services equipment is all petrol engine driven designed for maximum performance and reliability aswell as speedy production, making lightwork of most timber big or small, No costly electric needed.

How much will it cost?

Log Splitter Hire & Services quote each and every job individually so you get maximum value for split log processing. If its a small job we will try and squeeze you in on a day with another job. This keeps the cost down for you as a customer as we can eliminate travel costs for special trips. If it's a big job and may run into multiple days we offer a reduced day rate for multiple bookings. Get in touch for a no obligation quotation.

Is it worthwhile?

Log Splitter Hire & Services saves you time, effort & money, broken bodies, axes and frustration. If you have a felled tree or logs on your land you will get the benefit of burning your own timber at a fraction of the cost of outsourcing already split and seasoned logs. Especially if you have high value timber such as Oak, Ash & Beech. If you have a fallen tree that needs chopping up first then we can do this too. You won't be disappointed in our productivity.

Picture below is an example of HOW many logs equates to a 1t sack of firewood which can equate from £60-£120! Worthwhile IMO!

We offer log disposal if you just would like rid of the wood.

What access is required?

If it's on a hard standing/tarmac driveway - perfect.

If it's in the garden - a gate width greater than 75cm is required. Preferably NO steps or steep slope gradients.

If it's in a field or wooded area- aslong as it's gateway is fairly hard/dry & gradients are not too severe will get straight to it in our vehicle.
